🧼 1. Our Tie Cleaning Process
After each return, every tie goes through our professional, multi-step care process:
- Steam Sanitization: We use a fabric-safe steam method to kill germs, refresh fibers, and smooth out wrinkles—without using harsh chemicals that can damage delicate materials.
- Spot Treatment & Inspection: We carefully check for stains, pulls, and fabric wear. Any tie that doesn’t meet our standard doesn’t go back into circulation.
- Press & Presentation: Ties are reshaped and pressed by hand to maintain crispness and quality. They’re then stored in a clean, dry, temperature-controlled environment.
You’ll never receive a tie that looks “used”—only clean, sharp, and ready to wear.
🔁 2. Tie Rotation & Retirement
Every tie is tagged and tracked throughout its lifetime with us. Most are gently rotated through 12–15 rentals to ensure they maintain their structure, pattern sharpness, and integrity.
Once a tie begins to show its age—or drifts out of season or style—we retire it from our rental lineup.
🎁 3. What Happens to Retired Ties?
Great question. We don’t believe in wasting good fabric or great design. Instead, we give our retired ties a second life:
- Donations: We partner with local community organizations to donate ties to people preparing for job interviews, mentoring programs, and school events.
- Giveaways: Subscribers may receive surprise thank-you gifts from our retired collection.
- Upcycling: We collaborate with local artisans and textile creators to turn worn ties into accessories like headbands, bookmarks, or pocket squares.
It’s a win-win: you rent fresh ties, and the ones you’ve loved before go on to do more good.
